Sculpture in an Orange Garden (SOG) is the initiative of the Friends of Orange Regional Gallery (FORG). The inaugural event will be held in 2018 and it is planned it will become an annual event, to be held during ORANGE Food Week each year.
The event will consist of a curated selling exhibition of sculpture and a children’s sculpture display all held in one of the areas large gardens to add to the ambience. It is planned to hold the exhibition in a different garden each year, adding variety and interest for a wide range of people.
Where is Orange?
Orange is a city in the Central West of NSW. It has a diversified economy with a vibrant art, wine and food culture. It celebrates sculpture with many public sculptures. Some examples are shown below.
Food Week is an established festival held in Orange around April each year to celebrate this culture. It attracts over 15,000 people each year.
